The Mandela Institute for Sustainable Futures (MISF) is a central institutional platform at Nelson Mandela University established to holistically advance sustainability initiatives. MISF plays a strategic role in positioning the university as a global partner in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and as a leading African institution shaping sustainable futures. Grounded in an Afrocentric worldview, MISF embraces transdisciplinary collaboration, community engagement, and innovation to foster integrated responses to environmental, social, and economic challenges.
